XVIII. To the magnificent views around Vysoké nad Jizerou

Our trip starts in the main square of Vysoké nad Jizerou, the city located in the northern part of the Czech Republic. If you accidentally have already eaten your snack, do not panic, there is a great bakery where you can find everything needed. We set off following the yellow marked track, close to the church and a theatre called Krakonoš (the guarding spirit of Krkonoše mountains). The first magnificent view you will find by the Mariánkův kříž. Enjoy the panorama of Kotel, Zlaté návrší, Kozí hřbety. Furthermore, we still follow the yellow marked track until we get to Dykova skála, granite rock brought from Mumlava. Viktor Dyk was a famous Czech writer, amongst his best pieces is well-known Krysař, an old story about a man ratcatcher and an ancient city called Hammeln, you have probably heard about this story already. The next stop is a ruin of an old castle called Nístějka. Then it is not long to return back to Vysoké nad Jizerou. Do not forget to spend a while in the Muzeum there, you can observe the dynamic Bethlehem by Jan Metelka. In case you are hungry, visit the Restaurant U Medvěda. Have a great trip!
